Hi! My name is Sevgi Cebar, followed by brand new surname ‘Emence’ J . I graduated from METU, ELT department in 2014 and I have been teaching since then. I have heard about lesson study many times since we started CPD program in our institution. However, it will be my first meeting with itselfJ I was in team-teaching study group last semester, and I believe I took many advantages of different experiences, point of views and constructive feedbacks that make a great contribution to my teaching journey. I hope to benefit from this lesson study research during and after it with utmost returns. I hope it will be enjoyable, beneficial and sure easy to handle. J

I was graduated from Hacettepe University, ELT department with a BA degree in 2013. I couldn’t stay away from my college and enrolled an MA program in ELT department at Hacettepe University one year after the graduation. Recently, I have handed my Master's thesis. I work as a language instructor at UTAA for 4 years now (Wow!). I am always open for recent developments in ELT and eager to adopt them in my classrooms. Lesson Study will be something new for me. I am excited to see how it will contribute to my students' and my development. Some of my research interests are classroom discourse, L2 classroom interaction and learning/teaching practices, online spoken interaction, Conversation Analysis (CA), Computer Mediated Spoken Interaction in L2 (CMSI).

Hi everyone! I’m Merve. Last semester, l had the chance to get involved in the lesson study for the first time. It was a fruitful experience for me to be a part of such a comprehensive professional development activity. Since it focuses on how students learn rather than what they learn, lesson study enabled us teachers to better understand the learning process of our students, thereby allowing us to make alterations to the way we teach accordingly. With the notion that good ideas and experiences should be spread to others, this semester, I will be guiding my colleagues throughout the lesson study process as well as continuing practicing it. Hopefully, it will be highly productive for all of us!

Hello everyone! I’m Çisem as you may now know :) This will be my third time to participate in Lesson Study, and I am once again a practitioner in such a nice group. After experiencing the process of both being a practitioner and a facilitator, I honestly choose to be a practitioner! I realized that I am more comfortable, productive and feel better when conducting the study as an active member. So, I am excited for this once again as if it is my first time :) I believe this study will bring me different experiences and provide me with many benefits, too.
