Established in 2011, University of Turkish Aeronautical Association (UTAA) is a foundation university in Turkey. It is the first and only university in Turkey specializing in aviation and aerospace.

The first lesson study group at UTAA Department of Foreign Languages (DFL) was formed in May, 2016 as part of a dissertation research project conducted by one of our teachers - İlknur Bayram - ,who works as an English teacher at DFL.

Under her guidance, three volunteer teachers - Beyza Koç, Azime Sultan Dulkadiroğlu, F.Pelin Dereli-  accepted to pilot the lesson study at the English Preparatory Program at UTAA. This is how the lesson study journey in our school started.

We are currently conducting lesson study with two other teams of volunteer teachers.
